It's important that each student only has 1 StoryJumper account to avoid login confusion.
Using Google Classroom
A teacher who is using Google Classroom can simply go to their "Home" page and click "Import Google Classroom".
We'll create their StoryJumper classes and add their Google Classroom students into those classes.
Not Using Google Classroom
Let's assume that a teacher who is not using Google Classroom knows that some of their students have already used StoryJumper.
After the teacher creates a new StoryJumper class, they should not create new accounts for their students.
Instead, they should go to their StoryJumper class, click "People", click "Add Students", and give the "Join Class" link and class password to their students (see example below).
When students go to the "Join Class" link and enter the class password, they will be asked:
If the student already has a StoryJumper account, they should click "YES" and login on the next page. Then they will be added to the teacher's class.
If the student doesn't already have a StoryJumper account, they should click "NO" and create an account on the next page. Then they will be added to the teacher's class.
After all of their students join the StoryJumper class, the teacher can go to their StoryJumper class, click "People", and see all of their students. If anyone is missing, then the teacher should give the "Join Class" link and class password again to the missing students and make sure they follow the directions exactly.
Also, students should only use the teacher's "Join Class" link once. After the student has joined the class, they should log into their StoryJumper account using the "Login" link at the top of the page.
